Mirror's Edge differs from other first person games in that the graphics displayed are what she would actually be seeing. Other games would show the character rolling from a fixed perspective. In Mirrors Edge the camera angle follows the roll as she would see it, giving a true immersive experience for the player as if they were actually rolling. The sequel will feature new moves like going around corners while running on walls by using pipes to hold. She will also be able to take out enemies directly by jumping from walls and ledges. The story line will also play a more important roll.
The release date is not official but there has been much speculation as to when it will be ready. Many online retailers are selling pre-orders for the anticipated game. The original announcement for the sequel was during the June, 2013 E3. The target release date is sometime in 2016. Some are predicting before March but this is not official.
Mirror's Edge 2 will be available on all compatible platforms such as PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It will not be compatible on old generation platforms or tablets and most laptops. The original Mirror's Edge had an Android app but it did not have all of the features. The new version will probably have an app sometime after the release.
